Jefferson City, Mo.– Missouri Attorney General Josh Hawley Wednesday submitted criminal charges versus a Mount Vernon dental practitioner for defrauding Medicaid.
The grievance charges Dr. Thomas Alms of Mount Vernon devoted 3 felony counts of Medicaid scams and one felony count of blocking a Medicaid scams examination.
” Criminal actions like these declared versus Dr. Alms will not be endured,” Hawley stated. “My workplace is a company in its dedication to safeguarding Missourians from deceptive actions that cost taxpayer money.”.
Hawley argues Dr. Alms billed Medicaid for oral services he did not supply, consisting of workplace check outs, pulp vigor tests, pre-orthodontic check outs, bone grating and multi-side tooth remediations. Hawley declares Dr. Alms supplied incorrect documents to private investigators.
Lawrence County Prosecutor Don Trotter helped in the examination.
